Helpful tips for navigating SkyCenter One

You have a big meeting coming up in 5 minutes and you open the invite to find out exactly where you need to be.  You read, “SC4-C3” – where the heck is that?!?!

Turns out there’s a method to that combination of letter and number madness.

Here’s a few helpful hints to assist when trying to locate some of the different work and collaboration spaces around SkyCenter One.

Tip Number 1:

The numbering system here at SkyCenter starts in the northeast corner of the building with the lowest numbers and goes clockwise. That means lowest numbers can be found in the corner closest to the Economy Parking Garage and the highest numbers can be found in the corner closest to the Cell Phone Waiting Lot.

Tip Number 2:

SkyCenter One has Power Zones running lengthwise from north to south.  The zones include all of our focus, teams, and conference rooms.  These rooms are all the same numbering from floor to floor.

Teams room accommodate 5-6 people, conference rooms can handle up to 12 people, and focus rooms are intended for 1 or 2.

T = Team

C = Conference

F = Focus

Tip Number 3:

F1 and F2 as well as T-1 and T-2  and C-1 are always on the RCC side of the building

F3 and F4 as well as T-3 and T-4 and C-2 are always on the Bay side of the building

Everything outside those zones is then numbered clockwise and following the next number in the numbering sequence.

Tip Number 4:

When you book a space in Outlook, it will also give you the closest neighborhood location.

Tip Number 5:

Where can I find that obscure HCAA department?  Here’s your cheat sheet:

Level 3 – ITS and Ops/AOC/EOC

Level 4 – Finance, Maintenance, P&D and Procurement

Level 5 – Executive Offices, Communications/Marketing/Government Relations, Concessions/Air Service Development, Audit/General Aviation, Real Estate/Risk Management/Diversity/Legal, HR

Have fun continuing the explore all of SkyCenter One and learning our amazing new workspaces.

    Thanks for sharing this.

    Perhaps we can get this info and layout printed and laminated to attach to our badges for easy access OR include the location for the invitees as that info is only available to the appointment scheduler OR create room names like we did in the main terminal (i.e. Earhart, Legal, Admin)?
